New York City Dog Portraits

This puppy portrait was taken at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, NYC.

When I photograph puppies, choosing an ideal location is very important. It's very similar to when I photograph people. Architecture, facades, textures, etc are all great backdrops. An added bonus is that these kinds of locations look great all year long. It doesn't matter if Spring has not quite sprung or if the leaves have fallen completely off the trees by November. These types of environments will always be great for your puppy portraits.

In this particular dog portrait of Penny, I had her owner off to the side of the camera bribing her with delicious treats. That's how I got this expression.
