The family portraits are a very important part of the pictures on the wedding day. I always ask the couple for a shot list of the different groupings they want with their immediate and extended family. Some couples choose not to have extended family in these pictures but it is important for me to have a list. The couple can create this list well before the wedding day and that helps me to budget an appropriate amount of time for these portraits. Some couples have 5 groups that they want and other couples have 30 groups. I am always happy to spend as much time as the couple wants with their family pictures because these are truly important.
