The wedding ceremony is pretty much the most important part of the entire day. It's when everything becomes official and the couple is pronounced husband and wife, husband and husband, wife and wife, etc. There are very important pictures taken during this time.
Emily and TJ had a beautiful church ceremony and they exchanged their own written vows to each other. In this picture, the bride Emily, is smiling and crying at the same time. I thought that really defined the kinds of emotions you go through on your wedding day. She is clearly overcome with so much joy. These moments happen very quickly and it's a critical part of my job as a wedding photographer to be able to anticipate and capture these moments. I'm glad I was able to do that for Emily and TJ through my lens.
