I really love incorporating some silhouettes into the couples portrait session on the wedding day. It adds variety as well as creates an image that you do not see as often.
For this picture of Marc and Kai, I underexposed the ambient light and then lit the wall behind them to create the silhouette. It created a more romantic mood to the image as well as show off the interior design and lighting installations in the room a bit more.
I normally do not have people kiss during a silhouette because you lose their profile features , but it worked in this situation because you can still see the grooms profiles and the soft kiss Marc is giving Kai on the forehead adds to the wedding day story of the picture.
