This picture was taken at the Lackawanna Station Hotel in Scranton, PA.
The bride and groom Charlette and Quinn had mentioned to me that they loved the lobby of their hotel. When I scouted out the location early on the wedding day, I could see why they were attracted to it. I knew right away that I needed to get some pictures for them but I also knew that it would be a tricky location because it was the hotel lobby.
These are the kinds of situations I am presented with on the wedding day. It's an important part of my job to manage a photography shoot and figure out the logistics to make it work. I spoke with the hotel management and asked when the least amount of people would be in the lobby and that's when I took Charlotte and Quinn's portraits. I had to envision the shot before I took it and it was crucial for me to know my equipment so I could execute this quickly. While it was a less crowded time of the day, there were still people in the hotel lobby and I had to work around them without holding them up.
