This picture was taken at the William Vale Hotel in Brooklyn, NY.
Tom and Chris were getting ready in their hotel room when I noticed a reflection of them through a printed piece of art hanging on the wall. I asked them to grab some champagne to celebrate each other and I gave them some direction to perfectly frame them in the red circle.
I try to use visual metaphor whenever I can with my portrait photography. The circle represented their unity, the red symbolized their love, and the different toning on their silhouettes showed that they also have two different personalities. There's no fancy Photoshop here, I just used what was in the environment around me.
