As part of the getting ready pictures, I make a point of taking some portraits of the bride alone. These are not usually full-length but rather cropped and focused more on the eyes, hair/makeup, and details.
The bride, Sarah, was sitting down collecting her thoughts before walking down the aisle. I asked to take a few portraits of her. I also asked her to adjust her necklace which had a lot of meaning to her. I did this to bring attention to the necklace a bit more and to tell a story. I think hands are important in wedding photography as well as portrait photography and I always try to be aware of them.
