This portrait was taken at Vault 634 in Allentown, PA.
This is Justin on his wedding day. He was looking absolutely dapper and was so excited to see his fiancé, Jess! I took a few individual portraits of him before he had his first look with her. I took these at the front facade of Vault 634 and I thought the classic architecture worked well with his suit.
This particular portrait was purposefully shot in a more candid way although it was not a truly photojournalistic part of the wedding day. Without an event like the exchanging of vows or first dance, there is nothing for my subject to respond to. So in circumstance like this portrait of Justin, I'll ask him to look off to the side, think about Jess, and make some adjustments to his suit to make sure he's looking his best. I do also include more classic portraits on the wedding day which have the bride or groom looking at the camera.
